trait Simulator extends AnyRef
Adds -Dsimulator
to choose the simulator at runtime.
This trait adds an option for controlling the simulator at runtime.
If a user wants to add more simulators or simulators with different
options, they should override the cliSimulatorMap
with their chosen
simulators.
If a user wants to change the default simulator, they should override
defaultCliSimulator
. Making this a None
will require the user to
always specify a simulator, i.e., there is no default.

(Since version 2.12.16) Use
formatString.format(value)

resolves to the new method in String which has reversed parameters.

This is the documentation for Chisel.
Package structure
The chisel3 package presents the public API of Chisel. It contains the concrete core types
UInt
,SInt
,Bool
,Clock
, andReg
, the abstract typesBits
,Aggregate
, andData
, and the aggregate typesBundle
andVec
.The Chisel package is a compatibility layer that attempts to provide chisel2 compatibility in chisel3.
Utility objects and methods are found in the
util
package.The
testers
package defines the basic interface for chisel testers.
